LIT LIVE celebrates women!

Dramatic, hilarious, powerful and poignant, LIT LIVE's chorus of female voices celebrates the vagina, sexuality and body image.

The Vagina Monologues is a classic, and almost 30 years on, it continues to be both a celebration of femininity and a call to action to stop violence against women.

American playwright Eve Ensler based her collection of monologues on over 200 interviews with women. First performed in 1996, it instantly became an international phenomenon. The New York Times reported, "No recent hour of theatre has had a greater impact worldwide".

LIT LIVE won the Fringe World Theatre Award in 2021 for The Vagina Monologues and returns to unite with Fremantle Theatre Company's Indie program, with a new cast and local guest celebrities, performing for just six nights. 

This is not just a show for those who have one, but for everyone affected, inspired and moved by vaginas!

A percentage of proceeds will go to the Lucy Saw Centre, a leading voice for women and children affected by gender-based violence in WA.
